Welcome to the show that never ends...

Hello and welcome. Let me introduce myself, I'm Gore Jones and I'm the big mouth, over opinionated asshole who blogs about comics every week on Comic Book Jones' myspace, No-Prize.com and here. I'm not going to bore you with nonsense so lets get right to it...

Whaddddddddddddappp peoples!! Back again for another installment of what I thought rocked and what should be toilet paper. Big Note this week make sure you make it down to CBJ on Saturday for FREE THATS RIGHT I SAID FREE COMIC BOOK DAY!!! GONNA BE SWEET SO DON'T MISS OUT!!! I'm gonna review this year's Free Comic Book Day Books and let you know what I thought. Now on with the show....

G.I. Joe Cobra #2At the recommendation of my friend Socko Jones, I was told to read this book because "It's the best new comic to come out!". So what did I think....IT WAS AWESOME!!! I am/was a big fan of the previous G.I. Joe book that DDP put out. Now with all the new Joe books coming out, I don't know where to start or stop. I really dug this book. It was laugh out loud cool! Christos Gage does it again with another home run. YOOOO JOE!!5 out of 5

Astonishing X-Men #29This book comes out infrequently that a lot of people have dropped off this book. I think you're a fool if you did because Warren Ellis is kicking ass and taking names here big time. Messiah War going full steam and the rest of the X-books finally pointing towards a "definite future", we get Astonishing showing us what Forge is doing to help or harm the future of the mutant race. Confusing at times but now with everything coming into place we see what's in store for our favorite team of mutants.4 out of 5

Kick-Ass #6Mark Millar you mad bastard! This is what I'm talking about. This is how a comic should be. This book has action, adventure, blood, guts and story that carries the characters. The only thing this book lacks is being ON TIME! I forgot what issue #5 was about and had to go back and re-read it just to understand the first 3 pages of #6. All in all if you're not reading this then there must be something wrong with you.4 out of 5

Skrull Kill Krew vol. 2 #1 (of 5)Being that originally the first volume of this comic was supposedly written by Mark Millar and Grant Morrison in pubs and actually written so they could have beer money, you know this was a great idea from the start. Now, with Secret Invasion over we follow along as Ryder gets back to doing what he does best...Kill some Skrull Scum... Everyone who really dug the skrull invasion and how they imbedded themselves into society will definitely want to check this out. 4 out of 5

No Hero #5How far would you go to be a super hero. That's the question that this book poses to the reader. Would you give up everything you know? Your life? Your friends and family? Would you take a magic potion that could potentially kill you or give you super powers? That's what No Hero is all about. Warren Ellis doing what he does best making us all think about how far we would go to do something and what price we'd have to pay for it. Amazing.5 out of 5
